Just earlier this morning, Fandango’s managing editor, Erik Davis, took to Twitter to confirm that Black Panther has broken advanced ticket sale records in the Marvel Cinematic Universe; a record previously set by Captain America: Civil War.
Many predictions had Black Panther at $90 million dollar opening weekend. With the recent news, many question whether it can beat Thor: Ragnarok’s opening numbers which were roughly $115 million dollars its opening weekend. One thing is certain: Black Panther is an important cultural shift in America’s core values.
With Kendrick Lamar producing the album for the film and the incredible line-up in the casting department, I don’t see this film failing. It will have legs in box office standing that stretch further than anyone can predict. Check out the latest TV spot here and make sure to buy your tickets.
